Welcome to Parimal Mitra Smriti Mahavidyalaya

Parimal Mitra Smriti Mahavidyalaya, approved by and affiliated to the University of North Bengal was set up on September 19, 1985 for conducting degree courses in Humanities and Commerce. Located in 13.69 acres pollution–free, serene and lush green piece of land in the rural Western Dooars, the institution aims at nurturing the intellect of young students and preparing them to meet the challenges of the global society while widening their intrinsic values.

Parimal Mitra Smriti Mahavidyalaya is one of the emerging teaching institutes in the Western Dooars in West Bengal, India. The college saw the light in 19 September 1985, in effect, to diffuse the seed of higher education to the people bred in ignorance. The people of this surrounding area came forward to setting up this institute that had by now gloriously passed the silver jubilee year. The whole world is changing; we are also changing in the changing scenario of higher education. We observe with astonishment the merciless development of technology. To keep us apace with changes in technology and the globalization, we should and we must respond with whatever strength and intra resources we have/possess to reach our destination. Academic excellence has been our proactive agenda. We must try to create human resource to embellish our academe. This will give us latitude to focus on our goals. We can bring together all round development and align them with the changing needs of the students. Fused together, a true value based proposition would emanate, we sincerely believe.
